Waawaate Programs is devoted to facilitating opportunities for restoring relationship with the land as our elders and ancestors held. This includes to love, relate, care, and understand the natural world as it works to provide for us in reciprocal relationship and in the ways our elders have instructed.

Our programs are wholistic, directly serving the communities of northern Minnesota within the 1854 Treaty lands and beyond. Our programs serve families, youth, and elders, with focus on food sovereignty, traditional seasonal harvests, cultural teachings, traditional music/ dance/art/craft, revitalization of Ojibwemowin and its context, family supports, decolonizing relationship with land, and Indigenous media projects.
